170 mhz

If you had to send a 170 Mhz digital clock (TTL level) a short distance along a twisted pair, terminating in a 100 ohm differential load, what chip or logic family would you use? I can find plenty of standard line drivers out there, but nothing that can run at 170 MHz clock rate (340 Mbps).

ad8132 transmission line

You didn't specify the transmission line much, but I would say ECL (10K family) would do the trick.

line driver at 170 MHz?

I would probably use multiple fast CMOS (e.g. AHC) drivers in parallel. Analog differential line drivers (e.g. AD8132) are another option.

Re: line driver at 170 MHz?

Thanks!

I am also looking at the 74LCX125, 74LVC125, and 74ABT125.
