Hello,

I am trying to understand how Osram opto semiconductors is indicating the Vf group of a particular reel of LEDs.

Page 2 of the Advanced Power Topled datasheet appears to be saying that any individual reel will have leds from just one forward voltage group, but that there is no way of knowing what forward voltage group that will be.

Or am i wrong?

Is there a way of knowing which forward voltage group is present in a reel of advanced power topleds marked "LB G6SP-V2BB-35-1-Z"?

Hello treez,

you are right. You can not order a special group of brightness, forward voltage or wavelength, but you can see what group you get. The group name you can see on page 6.

If you want to buy a special group, ask your distributor. Maybe he will select it for you, else you only can be shure, that one package or reel (1000pcs.) are from the same type.

Thanks rfredel, but page 6 makes no sense to me......they point out "V2-3-5".

But where is this in a part number?

Here is a part number...

"LB G6SP-V2BB-35-1-Z"

....There is nowhere in this part number where "V2-3-5" has any relevance

How do we know which forward voltage group exists in the part number i've given?

Hello treez,

the part number will not say the groups of brightness, wavelength and forward voltage.

You can only see it at the Barcode-Product-Label in the last line. I've attache an other datasheet from RS-components.

**broken link removed** There you find the last 3 characters as X - X - X. This is the code for the groups.

Sorry, that I don't write it before, but I was too lazy to read the whole Datasheet. It's too hot in my office (35°C):roll:

Regards

Rainer
