Hi all,

these drivers seem pretty cool - they are i2c or spi driveable, can drive up to 256 leds with 8 bit pwm control 8mA~40mA, detect open and short leds, and have a refresh rate of between 500 and 1000hz depending on the matrix type.

I'm still waiting on a price but have been told less than $2.

I can't find any evidence of them being used by people - has anyone heard or used these before? What do you think?

Here's a link to the datasheet **broken link removed**

I've made a test board so I'll wait and see - I'll post back here how I got on.
