This LED display is based on Atmega32.
Schema of the plate:



How it works
Transistors were connected to C uC port. They control lines and via SPI interface, controlling four 8-bit circuits 74HC595 is possible.
The program on uC isn't too complicated.
Also a pixel function (x,y) was written. It lights up diodes on the display, e.g. a function call (1,1) lights up first diode in first row.
The plate is one-sided and wires to the LEDs are soldered from above as seen below:
