lcd display problem with unclear characters

I have lcd 16*2 doesn't show characters clearly. to see it i have to look from sharp angle, i can't see characters when i look perpendicular. what is the problem?
Vcc=4.3v

Not sure if the display is designed to work with 4.3V single supply. The data sheet should tell. In any case, the circuit lacks a means to adjust Vee for best contrast.
 

Hi.

I agree, most probably VCC, the missing contrast circuit and thus the contrast may be the problem.

But also write timing may cause unclear characters. Thus I recommend not to (re)write a character more often than twice per second.

At least you may try this to see if something will change..

The voltage of a LCD is critical if the 5V is down by only a few hundred milivolts can result in no display or very bad contrast on most displays. If you increase the supply voltage you will need a contrast control.
