He is using DT1602 LCD which is HD44780 compatible and mikroC PRO PIC code which uses mikroC LCD 4 bit library.

Regardless, these facts do not preclude the necessity of posting the schematic and code of the design.

Without these details, the value of any advice is limited.


And now that you've brought to my attention, a duplicate thread concerning the same topic, I will remedy the situation by combining the threads.
