Hi,
I'm currently designing one LC Tank QVCO with Cadence Virtuoso. This 4-phase QVCO needs to operate in the 12–14 GHz under various PVT variations. To achieve this, capacitance cells and binary-weighted external control signals are used to connect additional capacitors in parallel, enabling frequency tuning. I observe the circuit performance using periodic steady-state (PSS) simulation.

During the PSS simulation, I noticed "strange" errors in the multi-band waveform. Instead of the bands uniformly shifting downward, random errors appear, resulting in frequencies significantly lower than expected. However, when running transient simulations under these specific conditions, the frequencies observed are close to the expected values rather than those from the PSS simulation.

What might be causing this issue? How should I adjust my simulation to resolve this?
PSS settings: Harmonic balance @ 14 GHz, with tuning node and oscillation output node correctly configured. I have verified that these settings are correct.
