Hi all,

Coud you suggest me an High side current circuit/component that I can use to measure the current consumption during a latchup event?

Usually the voltage is around 3.3V 5V.

And the usual current is = ??

Allegro Semiconductor makes the ACS712 current sensor chips
 

The normal current really depends on the device tested. It can range from 80uA up to 50 mA. It should be an High side current sensing with a shunt resisitor.
 

Then search for Linear Technologie's app notes for high side current sensing.
There is an app note which has a couple dozen different circuits that will do what you require.
 

Many lab power supplies will read back current over GPIB,
are you overthinking the problem?
 

Touchstone was making some cute little high side current
monitor ICs, don't know if they're available (company has
gone bust, maybe somebody buys the bones, or not).
