Hi, im new at this pic world!

I would like to know how to use my keypad 4*3 (x1x2x3x4,y1y2y3) on my pic 18f, with 4 wires, or less, in c++ ... its for a college project, and its hard for me understand this... YET!

expand I/O interface.

this would be nice, like the one i want to implement: 7 pins, connected to the portb of the pic18, but how to know the key pressed?!

Microchip has a 30 day demo of C18 (functionally not limited), their c compiler for the 18 range pics. I do recommend C18.
