I recently received an Philips ARM demo pack, contains Keil MCB2100 evaluation board (LPC2129 ARM7 TDMI), some demo SW from Keil and Hitex and a wiggler like JTAG from Hitex. I also borrowed an Chameleon Pod, which can be configurable as wiggler or raven.

It's possible to program the chip either via RS232+bootloader or JTAG interface. RS232 works fine, but I couldn't program the chip with JTAG interface.

Using OCD Commander and chamelon pod, I tried both wiggler and raven mode. I can debug the code using JTAG , which actually programmed via RS232. Step halt , register dump etc. works fine. But when I tried to load new program via JTAG i get the message :

"write_large: target bus error (40:11)"

Playing with speed in OCD commander , parallel port mode and various wiggler and raven conf. didn't help, long lasting web seachs resulted in nothing.

What could be the problem ? Any one having experience with MCB2100 board ?

Best Regards

Hi

You can't program the chip via JTAG there is NO support for doning so !

You can only debug form the Jtag .

Use the philips Down loader for programming the chip flash !

Crossworks C compiler can do that using a special program running in the ram
