vhdl cpld 9572

Just got Xilinx FPGA & CPLD Devel kit , the ones from the xilinx webshop

Now im looking for examples (Small beginners projects)

I saw some other users also have this.

Do you have some small examples for those ???

I would like to start out by just to get a led to blink or something like that.

Is there a Xilinx Devel board forum somewhere (for the webshop kits) ??

I have never made a single line of VHDL or Verilog code , so consider me a 100% beginner , unless you can program the "bugger" in asm or C

implementation of mc6805 using vhdl

is there anythin specific.. actually there are lotsa things u can implement. wot did u get with the xilinx's developer's kit.. did u get a general purpose kit? if u had purchased a general purpose kit u can try some programs like half, full adder and subtractor, u can also try the MUX and Demux programs..

which version of xilinx webpack did u get? ISE 6.2 is good

i shall upload some elementry programs in VHDL.. take a look at it..

i guess u have the tutorials with u.. i mean how to create a new project and stuff like that..

if not jes reply i shall post them..

webpack 6.2 example cpld

Hi,
You can tryout this one mc6805 microcontroller core from
Digital Systems Design Using VHDL - Roth, Charles
I converted it to Verilog and fixed few bugs.
I checked this one on my XS40 board. I used mc6805 cpu and just
one output port. You can try adding two IO ports and UART.
Check this one and let me know....

I will have a look at your posted files.
I got two cd's along with the kits , so i suppose there are some xilinx programs with there.

If the guides you have , are not the ones you can download from the web , then please do post them , else you could just post the link for where to download.

that is fine dude.. did u install the software that they had given you. check if its xilinx webpack. the latest is ISE 6.2 Webpack.. it actually helps you for proper implementation, wot else did u get along with the spartan 3 kit, did u get the general purpose kit? coz u have to interface the kit to some sort of i mean another kit for general implementation analysis.
