hello, i'm trying to interface an lcd to an arduino and keypad. The keys of the keypad are connected to the arduino and prints values of keys and performs functions based on the key pressed. the arduino is coded using c programming in IDE software. however i've been getting junk values in the lcd. sometimes the code works just fine. sometimes the lcd prints junk values. i cant figure out whether the issue is caused by hardware or the code. kindly help. thanks in advance.

Without seeing either its difficult to comment.
However, it sounds like a timing problem when the LCD is initialized.

Brian.

any rectification methods?

Hi,

please understand that we first need information before we can give solutions.

As far as we currently know.. my recommendation is:
Read the datasheet and follow the specifications.. acording data, sequence, timing....
If you do it this way, then the LCD will work correctly.
