job opportunities in FPGA design fields

Hi all,

I am about to enter in the field of job market and I am very enthusiast about joining in the field of VLSI. I have done 1 or 2 small projects and 1 freelance project of medium size.
but moreover I really find this field interesting and I would say I am of course not very good not. but I know VHDL language very well with its tricks and traits as well (at least till simulation level I feel myself very competent).

My question is how is the job market from new comers around the globe.

More over what other skills and tools should I learn more (I have worked for Xilinx products quite good for a begineer, as well as I have also used Altera softwares...) More over I worked over the Verilog as well...

The reason to post what I have done is not making any RESUME sort of thing :grin:
actually I am not sure what skill does the market need from the new comer... I think I take some time to develop logic but after that ultimately can deliver it.
How can I improve my logic building skills more...

and What about (in the future if I targer the Mixed signal design, I was not best at analog designing, but Logic design and digital subject has always been my strong point...)
