Job in Embedded System

Hi.. I have completed MTech in VLSI and Embedded system designs, currently working in software testing since 2010. Now I want to change my designation and seeking the job in Embedded System. So, can anyone tell is it possible to change the designation and how should I apply job in Embedded systems. Will software testing useful to apply job for Embedded system?
