I'm looking for serial program for cellphone.

I would like to do a project using a serial bluetooth module to control devices.

Can someone tell me which is a better software for my cellphone? I plan to use different unit of cellphone so I think it's better to use java, am I correct?

Any idea for this project is highly appreciated.
