Hi All,

I am trying to send data from TI microcontroller TMS320F28027 to ESP32 using serial communication. I need ESP32 GND to be Isolated from TMS320F28027. For this I am using digital isolator
SI8640BD-B-IS. The connection is shown in the attached. I am currently using it to transmit data from TI to ESP. No data is transmitted back from ESP32 to TI microcontroller. Is this isolator suitable ( as it's unidirectional)? I am attaching the pin configuration of the isolator. What other isolator is suitable if not this one?

Hi FvM,

Thanks for the reply. At present I have si8640. As I need only to transmit data, is it possible to do so using si8640 (unidirectional). the other ones are not in stock.
