Is via too close to SMD pad?

Hello,
The via in the attached picture has its hole edge just 0.3mm away from the edge of the pad of the 0603 SMD capacitor. Is this too close? Will it result in tombstoning and wicking of solder away from the capacitor pad?
The via is 0.4mm in diameter.

The via will not be the cause of tombstoning. The SOLDER MASK should cover the hole completely, thus keeping solder in its place.
 

Such kind of VIAS occurs problems in Soldering, where solder sometimes flow into the via. DFM recommends to cover such vias with Solder-mask.

Tombstoning occurs due to uneven paste melting or thermal inertia in case of large sized components.
