Hello,

This connector appears to be rated to 4A, but are we sure of this?

Molex 22-11-2022 connector:-

...the worrying thing is that this header is for use with these crimps.................

Crimps... (Molex 08-50-0113)

....and these tiny crimps certainly dont look capable of 4A.

So would you say they are OK for 1.5A DC?

Molex specifies also 4A for the AWG22 contacts. Competitive 0.1" pitch connector series are often rated for 3A. Nevertheless, every practioneer can report cases of similar connectors that failed within rated current range after several years of operation. In so far a reduced current loading sounds like a good idea. For highest reliability, connector series with multiple contact points should be preferred.
