Is there any proffesional alternative to 555? Which device can I use instead of 555?I want to use proffesional oscilator in my project. Can you suggest me something?

Depends on what you want to do? Fixed freq & duty cycle?

I want to get very stable pulse generation to control my system.

Use a crystal oscillator.

but i want to adjust the frequency and duty cycle

What kind of adjustment do you imagine? What's your specification of very stable? If one 555 doesn't fit, how about two?

Generally, a 555 involved in a professional design should be regarded as professional device.

There is of course the DIGITAL VERSIOn of the 555 - THE 74HCT5555D.

data sheet from NXP: **broken link removed**

The frequency and the duty cycle may be varied in a 555 design and the all may be very stable when you use high quality external components determining the frequency. You may prefer Metal film resistors for resistors and tantalums for capacitors and the 555 is a professional device as its performance depends on the external components you use. You may also try HA7555, ICM7555,MC1455, or LC7555 which are CMOS versions of NE555. Good luck.

Lots of proffesional circuits uses 555 , but you must use too high quality external components as pranam77 said.A good design with high quality external components results a proffesional item.
Newest and low power systems uses cmos type, but with the same final results.
Good luck.
