Is there a recommended board to use for learning dsp?

Could you recommend a dsp board since after all practical applications won't just remain limited to everything happening matlab.
 

You can start with TI's Piccolo LaunchPad...There are 2 variants of the LaunchPad. With the TMS320F28027 or the TMS320F28069.

Code Composer Studio is a powerful tool for code development and real-time debugging.
Also, the example codes in ControlSUITE are a charm.
It also has support in Simulink.
