Is tab connected to collector in NPN?

In the following NPN, is the collector pin connected to the tab? (like is this a "known thing"?)......datasheet doesnt say, neither does www

I think the clue is the sub-note under "Thermal Characteristics", you couldn't fit a 600sq mm pad under the middle of the three pins.

I know of no discrete NPN, where the collector is -not- the bottom
of the wafer / die (->mounting pad). That's just natural construction,
for any vertical NPN - base shot into collector (bulk) and emitter,
into base.

Maybe there's lateral NPNs still out there which would be
different (but you would hardly ever want one), and SOI
technologies put everything up for grabs. But that ought to
be plain, front and center on any such device's datasheet.
