As the title says, I mainly work on digital IC designs and simulation, will a Surface Book 2 15 inch be suitable for the workload?
The GPU is certainly up to the task, but the CPU is what worries me. It is quad core, but it's only 20 watts, not 45 as the HQ counterparts, so will this be a problem especially when synthesizing and PnR-ing?
I mainly use Synopsys and Cadence software, with ModelSIM for simulation.
I find it good for me because of the tablet part, as I don't want to carry a laptop and a tablet, it combines both and it's good. So is it good enough for the job? Or should I look for another laptop with 45 watts CPU instead?
Thanks a lot!
