Technical specification printed on my refrigerator's compressor are as follows:

LRA:8.1

230V~50Hz~RLA:0.8

Where -

• LRA denotes Locked Rotor Amps, the maximum current spike during a motor start.

• RLA points to Rated Load Amps, the current that a compressor draws while operating (not startup).

Whether, a voltage stabilizer of 2 Ampere capacity would support power load of above-mentioned refrigerator which has LRA of 8.1 Ampere.

Hi,

it would be good for a normally running compressor.

The question is: Can the 2A rated stabilizer supply enough current (for a short time) to start the compressor.
We don´t know
* if it is designed for this starting current
* or limits the current (which may result in a stalled motor, maybe in motor overheat)
* or a (fast) fuse trips.

--> Read the manual, ask the manufacturer.
