is DVD output audio samples of LPCM coded?

Hi,

I am designing a S/PDIF interface before I do someting I would like to know if the input audio stream from the DVD output will be audio samples of LPCM coded. The replies would be greatly appreciated.

Got the answer the output from the cd player is S/PDIF format and decode the audio frames as in S/PDIF document
