Hello, I am using IR2184 gate driver I am not getting Ho pulse, it stays high everytime. I need help please...

Probably R123 is open circuit but it could be a cold easterly wind around C456.

Please be serious, how are we supposed to know what is wrong with a design we can't see!

Brian.

Can I attach my design?

Hi,

thats why we have an "Attach files" button.
or an "insert image" button or an "link " button.

other posts also include attachments or pictures...

Here is my circuit please I need help

Hi,

SD is not connected. I recommend to connect it to a valid level.

show timing diagram of: IN, LO and HO

Klaus

As I shorted SD with vcc I have made connections in my lab I have attached oscilloscope output, please find the attachment below.
Input pulse is 30KhZ

Hi,

before it was a simulation, now it seems to be a true circuit.
Is the simulation working properly? --> show the timing charts

Scope: any information which channel is which signal?

Added: a photo (or a couple) of your circuit - where we can see all connections, including scope - could also be helpful.

Hi I have uploaded my circuit and its timming diagram it seems to have same problem with simulation as well, in the earlier post the channel 2(pink in color) was Lo output and channel 1(yellow in color) Ho output. connections on breadboard is similar to my ltspice connection.

Hi,

Please don´t jump from one schematic to the other. You confuse us and you confuse yourself.
For sure the HO of post#9 can´t work properly, because VS is not properly connected to the bridge (like correctly shown in post#5).Thus the bootstrap circuit can´t work.

Klaus

I am sorry for the confusion, since the circuit in post #5 didnt work in the simulation and on the breadboard, I was trying to analyse pulse from the driver circuit (as in post #9) which also didnt work, can you help me in designing in circuit?

Hi,

I expect circuit of post#5 to work.
But I still don´t see simulation results ... to verify my expectiation.

Maybe there is an issue I don´t see now, maybe not. Therefore I wanted to see the simulation results..

Oh.. breadboard!
As written in numerous threads before: A breadboard is not suitable to test power switching circuits. It simply can´t fulfil the circuit (PCB layout...) requirements given in datasheets and application notes.

can you help me in designing in circuit?
I have my knowledge from datasheets and application notes. You need to read them.
Generally: They tell you all you need to do to make it work.

Klaus

Thanks for your reply, since I am a student I have very limited knowledge in practical field hence I am struggling build a circuit.

Hi,

from my experience
* a student/hobbyist tends to complain when he/she needs to read a datasheet and an application note.
* a professional does not complain whe he/she needs to read 50 datasheets and application notes a day.

Reading datasheets will never stop .... You know what I mean?

*****************
I don´t want to ask again for the simulation results of post#5. If you don´t show I can´t help.

Klaus

I am really sorry my friend, I was not on my system, I am uploading simulation results for post 5. and it says time step is too small for mosfet 1.

Hi.

What we see: HO "stays not HIGH everytime"
Why did you change the value of Cb?
Why did you add a capacitor at IN?

Please omit the "F" and especially "f" in all capacitor values.
Please omit the capacitor at IN.
Please clean up schematic around the HO output (delete wire and junction)

Please show IN signal as already requested
Please additionally show VS.

Klaus

I have made changes what you said and i am uploading the In signal and Vs.

Hi,

well done!

doesn´t look bad. ... so far.
Circuit is O.K. Signals look O.K.
VI is O.K.
LO is O.K.
HO is O.K.
VS is O.K.

there still is the simulation error at 2.9us?

If so, then maybe it´s no circuit issue, but as module issue (MOSFET) or a software issue.
I´m not very familiar with the simulator.
Try a different MOSFET with similar specification.
