ir2100

Hi Gents,

I am an electronics tech (not a designer) and have inherited a product that seems to suffer from problems.

the circuit has a TL494 that drivers 2 IR 2110s into a H bridge.

I have cleaned up lots of the switching noise -using gate resisitors has done lots but I still seem to kill the IR2100s and the H bridge FETS.

My supply line seems to be very solid without much noise or any sag.

The failures are always dead at start up - the FET gate is short to source and also the IR 2110 is damaged.

Any idea or help appreiacted!!!

go gentle

cheers

Andy

Re: Ir2100 problems

Hi,
Add 1k resistor from the mosfet gate to source. Your problem will be solved. Thanks.
