IR sensor for home security

hey guys I recently bought an IR sensor from radio Shack. Has a white/clear plastic dome over the actual sensor, the box says it senses movement in the surroundings. Anyways it has 6 pins, has a +, -, out, H, M, and L. I want to connect this to a buzzer, whenever the Sensor detects something, it set soff the buzzer, simple. ...Now how should I solder this thing up?
 

It's safer to use an external transistor (eg. 2N2222) to drive a small buzzer .. see attached picture ..
When you have this working, you can decide which option suits you better H-M (continuous sound) or M-L (pulsed sound) ..

Oh wow thanks alot guys this realy helped. So do I NEED to program this or would the sensor send an output or signal to the "OUT" and would tell the buzzer to do it's thing?
 

Most PIR sensors are "ready-to-go", no programming is required ..
After power is applied and when it senses movement it sets the output "H", that'll tell the buzzer to generate sound ..

Oh wow super! thanks again ian, I got it working. Ive set up my motion lights around the yard, when they turn on it also turns on my wireless camera's outside and starts recording
