current regulator

Hello,

this inverting LED driver toplology has continuous input AND output current.

As such it must be the best converter for EMC compatability (except for resonant converters)?

Also, if we consider a boost converter....-as the FET turns ON, the boost diode does not turn off straight away and a big , sharp 'reverse' current spike goes through the FET, through the diode, from the output caps.

...this does not happen with the above inverting regulator.

So why do you believe this inverting regulator is not more popular?

led current regulator

this is SEPIC regulator, and it popular in some applications.
