inverter efficiency and frequency relation

If a sine wave inverter is working with 20 Khz PWM and I want to operate it on 10Khz , does it effect efficiency of inverter ? what other factor it effect ?
 

A slower operating frequency suggests longer time constants.

If you have coils/transformers, then this suggests a need to increase Henry values. Possibly thicker wires.

If you have capacitors, then you may need larger Farad values.

Efficiency issues depend on where the losses are. Where current is increased, you get even greater I * I * R losses.
