Inverter 1000Watts 12vDC-220vAC Change Over Problem

Dear All,
I have an inverter of 1000 watts that converts 12v DC to 220v AC and is connected with a 12v 200AH battery. This inverter does not carry much load other than a Computer System and a stereo. The problem is that whenever there is power outage, it's supposed to change over to the battery but it goes off for a second then comes back on. This makes my system to accidentally shutdown and restart. Is there a solution to this?
 

A commercial UPS unit made for computers should detect any glitch in house current and instantly switch to inverter output.

If your system uses 200W then the inverter must produce 1 amp at 220V. To obtain that requires 20 amps at 12V from the battery.

Assuming there's no delay in the changeover circuit, then you might check the batteries and connections.

If the batteries are a few years old it's common for them to develop internal resistance. Gel cells are prone to do this. Then it can take a second to get the inverter circuitry up and running at spec.

Same with the battery connections. There must be no resistance between battery terminal and connector. Or between connector and cable. Otherwise performance will be affected.
