Intreface and software to shutdown PC when nobreak batteries are empty

Hi all,

I have a 1800VA no-break made by my self and need to shutdown my EchoLink Windows NT server when the batteries are empty, so I need a PIC or AVR with USB or serial connection to execute this task.

Hi,

there are standard communication protocols for UPS. I recommend to use them. Don´t need to implement all functions.

Maybe something like this.

on the WIN Pc side you coud just run something like this:
"rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState"
to power down to hibernate state
