sir i m confuse about the internet speed, so plz help me........

what is the maximum internet speed in pakistan, and abroad.....???

i enjoyed the fastest internet in South korea.... its the fastest in the world, but french claim to be fastest, but i did not feel like that..

but sir i m from pakistan and used dsl net, whose speed is written in the property which is 100mbps.........and in the chart max speed in the world is 34.65Mbps, so thats why i m still totally confused.................................????

The network speed (100Mbps) is the speed between your PC card and the router, the Internet speed is the speed with which the data can travel between your modem/router and the Internet provider.
The speed you see reported in windows (or any other OS) is the speed of the local network not the actual internet speed, if you want to see the Internet speed you must check the modem/router interface and read there the reported speed

you should know the concept of uploading speed and downloading speed... and what actually referes to internet speed...

Actually the VDSL provides higher speeds using cables so I think the above article is kind of old...

In my home town in Mid-Finland we can get optical cable line to home with speeds
10/10 Mbps ,10/10 Mbps , 100/10 Mbps , 100/100 Mbps

Via normal telephone line
1....8Mbps ADSL and 16...24Mbps ADSL2

For example
Internet connection 10/1 Mbps
Download 10Mbit / sec. is about 1 Mbyte / sec. from internet to PC
Upload 1Mbit / sec is about 100kByte/sec from PC to internet

ie. downloading 100Mbyte file from internet takes at full speed minimum 100 sec.
but uploading same file to internet takes 1000 sec. minimum. ( 16.7 mins. )

34.5Mb/s means 34.5 Mega Bits /second , if you want to calculate the Mega Bytes per second then it is 34.5/8=4.3125MB

Mbps=Mega bits per second.
