Been looking throughthe procedure for this, it requires the compilation of "clsbd" and also "imager" and "xlator".

How do you do this under redhat 8, has anyone installed this successfully, please include the installation steps that i should take.

Thanks help much appreciated.

OK looked through previous post came up with this.

1) extract the NCSU to the Cadence directory.
2) setup some enviroment variables.
3) run the install.pl

Need to adding somin like this

# For NCSU CDK
export UNAME=/bin/uname
export uname=$UNAME
export IC_DIR=$CDS_ROOT
export CDSSITE=$CDS_ROOT/local
##############################

what is UNAME????

UNAME is a variable reate to command "/bin/uname" which is used to check your OS and hardware platform version.

so basicaly i just add those 4 lines to the .chrsc file to setup the enviroment for NCSU?

The one thing I have found with the IC 5 is that there are not alot of components, in comparison to Orcad 9.2 schematics which has all the components exactly as I need. Is it possible to some how import these into IC 5???

Does anyone have Libraries?

Orcad is for board design. IC5 is for chip design. you don't need many components.
