Hello Linux PlayMate:

I have a question, in fact, a trivial one. Not sure where to start. Hope you can give me a few spare time of yours; guiding me through the process of updating my Linux laptop.

Let's start. I have a laptop installed with SUSE 9.1 pro from the official disk.

I am seeing some crashed on my PC due Linux windows manager, deciding to update the installation, using the updates from ftp.suse.com

I have downloaded files from ftp.suse.com

9.1/update/
[-] misc
[-] patches
[-] patches.obsolete
[-] rpm
[-] scripts

and burned into CDs.

Here are my questions. What is the process to follow when upgrading LINUX distribution using CDs containing? YAST manager? Please spend some time and tell me what to do?

thank you.

SAHO
