input question

If I want to measure my dac, my inputs are pulse function.
How many are rise time and fall time of my input singals?
If rise time or fall time is 0.1p,it may not be produced.
How many is it and it will be resasonable.

Re: input question

depends on your sampling frequency. less than 5-10% of your pulse width, I believe it will be fine.

in my opinion, if u can guarantee the setup time and hold time of ur input sigal with related to the sampling clock, then ur dac will know what value should output, so there are no rise time or fall time problems.

I doing about dac. If I have 14 inputs and one clk,can my inputs have the same rise time or fall time? Thank you.

Re: input question

1. since u have clock to sample ur digital inputs, if the samples are correct, ur dac's output should be follow what it will be.
2. the same rise time and fall time only affect ur SSO, not ur final data if (1) is correct.
