Input filter and its destructive oscillations

hello,

when designing an SMPS for running off a battery (say 13V), how much effort do you take to ensure that the input LC filter does not suffer serious oscillations due to the negative input impedance of the SMPS.?

(i refer to input LC filters using ceramic capacitors)
