Can somebody provide some information like equipment, design about the satellite teleports

Satellite teleports indicates major Satellite Earth stationsfor access to the terrestrial infrastructure, particularly the Public-Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), the Internet, and the fiber backbone.

To what aspect are you interested:

Antenna,
RF,
Modems,
Connectivity to PSTN/Backbone,
Infrastructures,
Network control (DAMA)?

Hi,

The satellite teleport basically includes the following -
1. An audio/video signal source - this contains your data/program to be telecast or broadcast
2. A modem - which modulates your data. Depending on the type of modulation and FEC used, your transmission power will vary.
3. An upconverter - to upconvert your baseband signal into RF, ready for transmission.
4. An SSPA/HPA - power amplifier to boost the power level suitable for transmission. And finally
5. An antenna

Added to all this you can tap the signal anywhere in the chain, with proper equipments, to keep surveilance.

For more, you can refer to any Satellite communication handbook. They all carry details of various earth station topologies.

Regards.
