Can I replace an alloy powder core material inductor with a composite material core inductor ?

I prefer magnetic powder for boost inductor for better performance.
Its gives heat proof, low noise, powerful performance.

My application is of buck converter (TPS40054). Currently, the inductor used have alloy powder as the core material. I want to replace it with an inductor which is having composite material core. Will it be okay to replace ?

Accurately predicting core losses in magnetic components is difficult, and no less challenging in composite inductors but comparatively easy one.

You can surely go for that
