Hey guys,

just as the title says, is there a way to increase the output voltage range of a mosfet 2 stage op-amp without changing any of the components but rather add components?
Assuming the op-amp can handle max input of 1.8v and has a supply of single rail 1.8v and needs to increase to 8v output swing?

any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

For sure one can add some e ternal circuit that extends output voltage swing....
But for this you need a supply voltage that is higher than the expected output voltage.

On the other hand ... if you have this supply voltage, then it is easier to use an opamp with this higher supply voltage...

You can still use 1.8V supply if you use boost converter to get higher supply voltage. Then add OPA which is capable of 8V output swing.
