Resistor layout tapping

Hi all,

In which case the layout of a resistor needs to be tapped.

Thanks,
bollu.

Re: Resistor layout tapping

1. If you want to avoid the effect of contact resistances in a resistor string containing a number of resistor elements. Typical in Resistor-DACs.

2. If you want to encode analog functions in the resistor tap. This provide much higher resolution than using single resistors with contact resistant on both ends.
