Is it necessarily use "impulse-invariant transformation" to transform Z-domain to S-domain??

Can I directly use the analysis of S-domain without any Z-domain analysis in sigma -delta modulator??

Thank you very much!!!

yes, u can; but in this case, u will not be able to utilize the well-estiblished theories in DT DSM.

another issue is CT simulation is longer and may not be accurate in certatin cases as compared to DT simulation.

there's one spanish lady phd student published a solid-state paper using purely s-domain analysis with her own software to design a CT DSM. you may refer to her paper. her name is S. Paton
