I'm trying to create a two-port model in ADS, based upon a s2p file provided by the manufacturer. But I cannot make it work. What's the right way to do it?

Note: I tried to upload the file, but I got error message over and over again. However the file can be found in the link below:

hi, have you tried looking in ADS Help because I made .s2p file according to ADS help file and it worked fine.

Never mind. I just managed to download the ADS model of a similar part.

1) Make sure the s2p file u created is consistent with the touchstone format.
2) Use the s2p component in Date Items palette in ADS to import the s2p file for simu.

Hi..

Can you please tell me exact procedure to import such .s2p file in ADS ?

You don't "import" the file, but place a block that references the file.

1. Place an "S2P" circuit element in your schematic
2. In the S2P element properties, specify the file name

That's it!

Is it possible to see the internal circuitry of that file if import is not possible?

Hi,

first you simulate the circuit for which u want to create the .s2p file then goto the datafile tool and create a touchstone file write to data file then ur .s2p file will be created and if u want to use this go to schematic and click on data items and use it....
