Hello!
I would like to know how to import data into Mentor Expedition 2007.x. In the "older" versions it was possible to import just about anything using ASC-II .hkp files, but in the newer versions support for this seems to be completely removed.
We designed a language for describing circuits rather than drawing schematics. This has many benefits, especially for large digital designs. However, we need to import all information that is available in the language description into the PCB tool:
- Parts
- Nets (interconnect)
- Net classes and clearances
- Groups
.. etc
With Expedition PCB 2005.3 everything works like a charm, but we would like to progress to Mentor Exp. 2007, to overcome annoyances such as 2005 not willing to work under Windows 7.
How can this be done? What is the "modern" alternative for .hkp in Mentor nowadays?
With best regards,
Gideon
