It is a small imagesetter that can be assembled in home from old and easily available components: a dead scanner and so-called solarium for face.



The following pictures show assembling together those two devices.



The most problematic was to mill a hole for the power supply (such as in a PC, so computer supply cables match it). It is important to provide stability and ground.



555 can be used as a timer.



Effects are shown below. The boards have regular pads, lint-free edges of paths. Accuracy is important advantage of this device. Positiv-20 was used, but probably photosensitive laminate would be better, because there is a photosensitive layer of uniform thickness, which should give even better results.
