Hi,

Can any one tell me what are the IEC 60601 standards that need to be taken consideration while designing and testing a electronic circuit for medical domain.

Depends on what countries the product is sold in and what markets.
The USA and Europe have different requirements and interpretations for example.
This is not something you should trust to a general purpose forum.
Start with yahoo and wikipedia and follow relevant links to the countries you are targeting.
I stronngly suggest you get professional legal advice before releasing anything.
(If for no other reason than you could end up with a warehouse full of unsaleable product)
 

Here in the UK we have access to the british standards online database via online public libraries.
As a library member this allows us to download some BS standards to read.

ISTR there is a BS version of this that is almost identical.

Getting library access helps with this

Thats your challenge - unless you can find it elsewhere.
