I'm looking for some directions to enhance my project. I decided to develop Automated meter reading using PLC. But my project was rejected as it is replica of the existing system. Looking for ideas to enhance the same project.. Any changes to the existing AMR system using PLC. For e.g., even noise reduction, new modulation technique other than FSK,changes related to any existing parameter.. Thnx in advance:)

Thanx.. I'm newbie and I even don't know basics of power line communication. It will be grateful to you if you suggest some ideas where i should begin at. Thanx in advance

I am also doing now my final year project with PLC. I use the PLC to turn on and off home appliances and read the power consumption of the devices. :)

Already work is going on to transmit fm signal over Power lines. i have these above mentioned ideas from the idea of transmitting fm over power lines. you should also begin your study from the work that has been done on transmitting fm.
