Hello,
I would like to build a simple 3 to 1 PCB developer/etchant aparatus.
Vertical containets for NaOH, fresh water and N2S2O8 etchant will be used. There will be a bubbling mechanism for the etchant and the etchant liquid will be heated by an external halogen lamp (cheaper and more commonly available than a heater?)
The Idea I had was a way to fill-in and empty the containers without any valves.
I am thinking of using the attached configuration. each solution will be prepared (mixed) in common plastic bottles. A hole at their bottom, will be connected through flexible tube to the bottom of each container.
When the solution needs to fill the container, the bottle is moved above the container and gravity causes the solution to fill in the container.
When the solution needs to be removed from the container, the bottle is moved below the container and gravity causes the solution to empty into the bottle.
A close cup bottle will cause the solution not to move (because the air cannot escape).
What do you think of this cheap way, having in mind that small vanes are not easy to find in some areas.
