mplab 7.5

I tried to program a DSPIC 30F2010 and 30F3011 with slotz icd2 but not working with new MPLAB version 8.1. I check them with older MPLAB version 7.5v and both chips programed perfectly. What could be the wrong. Is that microchip taking some action against ICD clones in future. Problem is most new pic are only supportted in new 8.1 MPLAB version and may not possible to program them in future. If you know any solution for this pls help.

Thanks

icd2 invalid target dspic

I have same problem as you in MPLABv8.1.

I use stolz.de.be version and work fine with 16F & 18F series.

When it comes to dsPIC30F series, device id always invalid (0x0)

I have checked all the pin on dsPICF4011
Vdd AVdd ->5V
Vss AVss ->Ground
and a 7.373Mhz oscillator with 15uF

Can anyone help me?

mplab ide version 7.5

Jopen:

What is the pic you are trying to program if it is 30F family then i suggest you to try that with MPLAB 7.5 or below 8.0. I can still program 18f and 16F series with MPLAB 8.1 but not 30F series.

I still can program the 30F with MPLAB 7.5

mplab ide 8.1

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Since I change MPLAB to 7.5
it works!!!
