I am using IC50 for LINUX.

When I start ICFB and use 8bit display, I got this strange error message in CIW
window:

Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#e0e0e0"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#800000"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#999999"

The color is distorted in any WINDOW (IC50) I open.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

TIA

IC50 display problem

If you config your linux machine in 8bit color. The colour of application will affect each others.

Added after 26 seconds:

Re: IC50 display problem

Cadence will only run in 8bit or 24bit colour mode. You can change the colour settings by changing it in the display option. You can also edit the file /etc/XF86Config-4 and change the colour settings there.

Re: IC50 display problem

i met the same question before. Solution:
1.configure your display to 8 or 24 bits
2.update your display driver.

Re: IC50 display problem

I met the same problem, i tried to use 8-bit color, and the diaplay is abnormal.

But when i changed my XF86Configure-4 settings to 24 bit, i even can not startx. What's the matter.
My display card is Intel 82845G Graphics Controller.

Any one can help, thanks!!
