Hi all,

I encountered something strange and I would to like to ask if it is only my problems or not. I just installed ic5.0 in redhat 8. Everything works fine until I try simulating pss. I simulate the "lnasimple" as provided in "rfExamples" and there is error message pop up, "Internal error in spectre........", at the end of the simulation. I wonder have anyone countered this??

Command line:
spectre -env artist5.0.0 +log ../psf/spectre.out +inter=mpsc \
+mpssession=spectre0_2656_1 -format psfbin -raw ../psf \
input.scs
spectre pid = 2752

spectre internal error

hi,

i never had such a error message. as i understand, you started s/pe/ctr/e from the command line. you also can try to execute your simulation in the C/I/W command line with OC/EAN commands. there is a good pdf in the doc- folder. by doing this you maybe get more information, what the problem is.
here a possible OC/EAN command procedure:

simulator(spectre)
design( path to netlist )
save(saveoption)
analysis('dc ?saveOppoint t)
createNetlist()
run()

greetings,

Hi hqqh,

Thank you for the opinions. I know nothing about OC/EAN commands. I will tried following your suggestions and check if I can figure what is wrong.

spectre minr

Hi All,

I found that in the PSS setup table, the signal type is fixed to "Large" and I cannot switch it at all. I wonder if it is only my problem? I have tried "unset LANG" but this doesn't help at all.

remote command mode using mpsc service

i have the same question, anyone can solve it?

mpsc spectre

I encountered the same problems in the linux version IC50. But the problems do not exist in the solaris version.

errpreset

who can solve this problem?
i encountered the same pro on RH8 platform
does it works well on RH7.2,7.3?

entering remote command mode using mpsc service

Cadence supports only RH 7.2 and RH7.3
I have used IC5.033.+USR1 and obtained a result in 0.68sec.
There is no convergence problems.

internal error spectre

i encountered the same problem when i used IC50 on RH80.

then I get rid of RH 80 and installRH7.3.
it become better, at least that I can do basic PSS analysis. but I still can not do a PSS sweeping.

I guess it is the problem of OS. so may be the final solution is to use RH72.

However I found that IC5033 is able to run properly on RH73.

minr setup spectre

i think it's not a OS problem,but the settings of software/

is there othsers have it?
